Students Achieve Access 2010 Certification Through Microsoft IT Academy

Two students have achieved globally recognized industry level certifications in Microsoft Access 2010 through the Microsoft IT Academy at Westwood High School. Aubree Rubadeau and Grayson Woodham earn the certification on the most difficult component of the Microsoft Office Suite. Their knowledge of building tables, queries, and reports in the Access database was a result of participation in the Integrated Business Applications course under the instruction of Ms. Tracy Wilbur. These students are the first to earn their certifications through the IT Academy program which was implemented in early April at Westwood. The certification demonstrates that they have skills that are necessary to be successful in a career that involves the use of an Access database and are generally transferable to more advanced database systems. Westwood is proud of their accomplishments and looks forward to certifying more students in the future.
