A Thousand Awesome Redhawk Things

The way the sun radiates off the gorgeous edifice as you drive onto the campus, that is faire Westwood!

#2

The teacher salad bar that was made available!

#3

Our faculty is like a family! They support and care for each other. If anyone needs anything, others step up to provide.

#4
WHS Athletic Training Student Aide Jairad Hydrick stepped up to the plate on Tuesday night, recognizing a dangerous progression of concussion symptoms in a visiting football player. Hydrick acted quickly, which led to prompt emergency care for this athlete!

#5

When [Ralph Schmidt] showed off his new socks at the opening "welcome back" faculty meeting - he is fun-loving, honest, genuine, and awesome!

#6

The first day of the 2013-14 school year was AWESOME and the" best first day"  of my long teaching career. I am so pleased to be a REDHAWK!

#7

I am VERY proud of Katelyn (WHS student, who found money that did not belong to her and turned it in to an adult) for her honesty and integrity. We do have honorable students at Westwood.
What a wonderful way to end our first week!

#8

My students are definitely on the road to awesome! They are keeping it professional and are following the "3 R's of education" in my classroom by being Responsible, Respectful, and Right on Time. Proud to be a Westwood Redhawk!

#9
Landon William's camo swamp monster outfit is spectacular!

Awesome Drama and Dance students who are doing a great job writing the Gullah Show and rehearsing!  They are AWESOMELY Redhawky and Talented!

#11
My reading seminar students are learning to read ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs.

#12
The view from my classroom is awesome (as is the view from any window at WHS actually!).

#13
Another awesome thing is how well new teachers here are treated and valued - - from the New To Two program to our luncheons, etc. (the list goes on and on).

#14
A student comes to you because they have a free period and asks if they can sit in on your class, not because they need credit, but just because they want to learn something that they feel will help them in life.

#15
The Drama Department's "Gullah" production was entertaining and A LOT of FUN for our 3rd Grade Sandlapper students...awesome job everyone!!!!
