Congratulations to Sharon Lewellen, WHS Special Education Teacher, who received a 2013 Sparkleberry Country Fair Teacher Grant for $950.00 for her school-based embroidery business, Redhawk Stitches and to Steve Wilson, WHS Fire/EMS teacher, who received $750.00 for his Fire Birdies in Training classes to teach kids about fire safety. After an application review process, teachers were selected to receive grants for various programs and projects for their students. The Sparkleberry Country Fair is held annually the last Saturday in April. Proceeds from the Fair benefit Richland Two students through scholarships and teachers with grants.
