Westwood Serves
·         Westwood is focusing the entire year on what we can DO to help those in our neighboring community.
·         All student government members are required to do community service each semester.  This month we have helped the CAB program get their facilities repaired for their opening in November.  Each grade level is planning individual community services for the months of November/December.
·         All athletes are required to do community service.  Some of the activities they have participated in thus far include helping with Sandlapper Elementary Football Day, face painting at Killian Elementary Kick Off, Vive Church 5K run help, USMC Mud Run help, “Dig PinK” baked good sales for breast cancer awareness.
·         Every month, we have a community service opportunity for the entire school.  So far we have participated in the United Way’s Day of Service (32V),  Brett’s Rainbow(70V)), and cleaning Doko Manor Trails in Blythewood (100 V)  Blood drive is scheduled for January.
