Redhawk Athletic Review
Wrestling: Our
Wrestling team has gotten off to a great start this season with a huge home win
vs RNE by a score of 57-16. This past Saturday they competed in a tournament at
Spring Valley and picked up a win vs Blythewood 48-30. This week they travel to Swansea for a match
on Wednesday and then finish up by competing in a big tournament over at
Lugoff-Elgin. The Wrestling team will be home again next week on Tuesday and Wednesday
for non-region dual matches. Come out and support our grapplers!
Girls Basketball:
Our Lady Redhawks went 0-2 last week losing a heart-breaker to RNE 33-34 and
losing to Spring Valley. In both games the girls were led by the strong inside
play of Kayla Atkins. The girls look to improve on their season this week with
games vs Blythewood, Ridge View, and Spring Valley.
Boys Basketball:
The Boys Basketball team began their season 2-0 last week with convincing wins
over RNE 78-53 and over Spring Valley 65-48.
Against RNE, Antonio Wright poured in 27 points to lead the Redhawks as
their defense created a lot of fast break points. The same was true in the
Spring Valley game as sophomore Jordan Watson had a stellar game on both ends
of the floor.
