“College and Careers 101 for Teens”
What: The seminar will cover a variety of issues related to new and upcoming graduates as they prepare for college or the workforce. A particular focus will be for prospective first-generation college students as they apply and prepare for college.
When: Starting Saturday, May 24th at 3:00pm
Where: Richland Public Library Northeast (7490 Parklane Road)
Kenneth Shuler - Summer Cosmetology/Beauty Camp and Workshop
What: This workshop allows students to see if this is really the industry for them, how they can afford it, etc. To give them a sneak peak of this industry, Kenneth Shuler will allow students some hands on activities, scholarship opportunities, confidence building activities, and more!
When: June 7 and June 8
Time: 9am-4pm
Cost: June 7 - $50.00 and June 8- $25.00, or both days for $60.00 (includes lunch and a t-shirt)

Youth and ROTC Day at SC State University
What: Youth and ROTC Day is a special day designed to encourage elementary, middle and high school students to visit our campus and experience all that the University has to offer while enjoying a fantastic football game. SC State sets the stage for an outstanding opportunity to showcase the university academic offerings, the ROTC Program and a glimpse of student life. You will witness the show-stopping, precision structured, musically divined Marching 101 Drum line and the 2014 Co-Ed MEAC Champion Cheerleading Squad.

2014 Girls Symposium
What: The Girls Center at Clemson University is pleased to announce the 2014 Empowering Girls Symposium. We believe strongly that expsing girls to S.T.E.M., helping them develop critical thinking skills, and introducing career options early gives them an edge on success in today's ever-chanign, competitive workplace. Don't miss this power-packed, one-day learning and networking experience for girls ages 12-21 and the adults who support them.Features include and interactive career fair, hands-on S.T.E.M. activities and a showcase of youth entrepreneurs.

Job and Scholarship Opportunity for Graduating Seniors
Where: International Paper
What: We are looking for dependable women and men with excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills to complete the new program and become eligible for an entry-level Mechanical Maintenance Technician position at the Eastover Mill. The mill will be awarding half-scholarships of $5,000 for tuition and class materials in June with classes beginning in August & September. Scholarships include the option of a part-time mechanical maintenance internship while enrolled and progressing through the Midlands Tech program.
