Our Boys and Girls Track Teams competed in the State Championships at Spring Valley. Our Girls Team finished 6th in the team competition and Kelsey Briggs narrowly missed defending her State Long Jump Championship by one inch. Defending 200m Champion, Brianna Pressley, finished second in the 200m event.
The 2-Time Region Champion Boys Team finished 7th in the team competition but were led by Westwood's first ever Boys Individual State Track and Field Champion, Anthony Friday, who dominated the Shot Put Event (See Pic Below) and finished 2nd in the Discus Throw.
We are proud of both teams as they represented Westwood well at the State Championships.
